Hello and welcome!

I am Professor of Categorical Symmetry at the University of Edinburgh School of Mathematics, member of the Hodge Institute, and I am the School's Director of Sustainability. Here you can find information about me, my research, and my teaching.
- I am co-Director, alongside Professor Tara Brendle, of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Algebra, Geometry and Quantum Fields.
- I am a Principal Investigator on the Simons Collaboration grant Global categorical symmetries.
- I am the network organizer for Algebra and Representation Theory in the North (ARTIN). This network hosts four annual conferences at various institutions in the UK.
- I have recently completed work on a five-year grant, The quantum geometric Langlands topological field theory, from the European Research Council.
- I am currently supervising two PhD students: Patrick Kinnear, and Dominika Zieba. I am the second supervisor of Benjamin Haioun. I have three former Ph.D. students: Drs. Juliet Cooke, Anna Mrktchyan, and Tim Weelinck.
- I currently supervise postdoc Iordanis Romaidis. I have previously supervised postdocs Brian Williams (now tenure track at Boston University), Andrea Appel (now tenure track at University of Parma) Sam Gunningham (now tenure track at Montana State University), and Alexander Shapiro (now a Royal Society Fellow and PI of an ERC Starting Grant here in Edinburgh), and Peter Samuelson (now a tenure track professor at UC Riverside).
- Before coming to Edinburgh, I was an NSF postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Texas, working with David Ben-Zvi. I received my Ph.D. from MIT, under the advisement of Pavel Etingof. You can find my CV here.
