The circle quantum group and its Fock space

We will define a new infinite-dimensional quantum group of 'type A', as an appropriate injective limit of quantum affine gl(n)s. This quantum group has some unusual features (no simple roots, only quadratic relations, not Noetherian) and arises in several geometric contexts. We will also describe some of its representations, in particular a 'Fock space' representation. Joint work with Francesco Sala.
